I am not buying this product.

For some reason when I read this, I was reminded of the 1990’s remake of Invasion of the Body Snatchers.

Songs I’ve heard and liked

“Backfire at the Disco” by The Wombats.

“We’re not supposed to be lovers” by Dean and Britta

Two songs that would seque well on a mix: “Oh my Love” (j.lennon) followed by “Junk” (p.mccartney)

Two songs that I think would make a good mashup: “Number 9 Dream” (j.lennon) and that song by The Flaming Lips that goes something like “Do you realize…that everyone will die”.

thoughts/song lyrics?

Rearranging (OR I guess ‘arranging’ unless youcall piles of boxes an ‘arrangement’) my room and am finding lots of scraps of paper with random writing on them. I tend to do that - write things down when I don’t want to forget something. UNfortunately I have no system for keeping track of the thoughts, it’s out of my brain, onto the paper then into oblivion. I’ll transpose some of them here - the ones that aren’t just appointments, shopping lists, or phone numbers I don’t need. Some I think were meant to be song lyrics, or ideas for lyrics, some are just random thoughts as they came out of my head. None are very interesting or well written. They are just random thoughts written on scraps of paper, what did you expect?

———–

“…like the dew refreshes the flower, your lips are like that first cigarette in the morning…”

——

“…our relationship was just a palindrome…”

——–

“…remember that time I took you to the hospital when you woke up and couldn’t see me? I guess in retrospect I’d call that foreshadowing…”

——

“…Now I’m sanding off my fingerprints just to be sure you won’t find me…”

—–

“…One of us is going to have to go - this wallet isn’t big enough for the both of us…”

—————————

“…How did I let you go?

How did I let you slip away?

Yesterday you were tied so tightly, I locked the door,

I thought you loved me,

has this happened before?”
