After the forced website migration from advancednetworkhosting (NOT advanced, and horrible customer support) I have been happy as a clam with my mysql and php mything.org websites, but hadn’t done anything to the vinylrake domain other than the barest minimum to get the sites up and running.

For some inexplicable reason blogger doesn’t like site5. Blogger chokes when it tries to write large blogs to sites hosted at site5 and blogger won’t assist site5 in debugging the problem. Since I am not going to switch webhosts just to get my blogger hosted sites back up, I was thinking I would just create my own minimal blog software. I have done it before and it’s not rocket science since I don’t need anything fancy. BUT, I am tired of re-inventing the wheel and I am anticipating a lot less available time and energy in my life in the near future (looking for a second job so I can get back to paying my bills) so I am trying the canned approach instead.

ps. the old blog archives will still be available, I am just not sure exactly how yet.
